I have always been happy with Samsung's TV. In fact, I have bought 4 from Amazon. Two for myself, one for my friend, and one for my parents. So no complaints there at all. I am a happy user of Samsung TV.
It's Amazon's pricing that I am not happy with. I bought my second TV, Samsung LN46B650, around 6 months ago. Three weeks later, the price was lower by $150. Amazon refused to do anything about it -- they used to refund the difference for the price difference within a month. Strick 1.
More recently, I bought a Samsung LN52B630 for $1589. Within 2 days, I found the same items at Fry's Electronic for $1299 and lower by $90 on Amazon website itself. When I sent mail to Amazon, I received a not-so-friendly email from its customer service department, saying that they will make a "one-time exception" to "graceously refund the $90" difference (they used to apologize for the overprice and refund the difference right away a while ago). The item has dropped further in price since I bought it 2-3 weeks ago. So effectively, when I received the TV a week ago, I had overpaid for it by at least $200. The same item is now much cheaper in price in most Electronics stores in San Jose and Los Angeles. I used to be a very happy customer of Amazon. Not anymore.
So the next time you shop at Amazon, be careful of this change of refund policy and compare prices first before buying it at Amazon. Don't automatically assume that Amazon will be a decent shop and they will refund the difference within a recent period of time if there is any overpricing of the item.

Had the TV for a few weeks. Purchased from Amazon in Nov 2009. Shipped via CEVA. I'm not a fan of the red touch of color on the TV frame. It looks a bit cheesey. Also, when switching cable channels, the TV goes blank temporarily while it switches from say 720p to 1080i or to say standard definition. This looks to be by design. It would be great if it could do it more quickly, rather than the 1 or 2 second blank screen. Other than that, the picture is great. Sound is good. Setup is a breeze.
PS: there was some shaking in the picture during the first few hours of getting it out of the box, but that went away after a few hours and never came back. Probably normal for new LCDs. Not sure.

So i got this TV last week, and i am so happy with my purchase, the TV looks good, the picture are crisp and i am happy to have it.
But the delivery experience was the worst. Amazon shipped the TV through Pilot courier service and they are the worst in the business, i am sure Amazon must be getting very cheap shipping prices from them to send packages through them, anyways, they have a tracking system where you can track your package, the thing with that is it never gets updated. My package was supposed to reach SFO on 12/03, but the tracking never got updated, i had to call them twice before they knew where my package was. So on the day of the delivery i had to call them up twice to see where my package is and if they are going to deliver on the agreed day or not. Finally the package arrives, and its in a bad shape, the box carrying the TV is all broken from outside, they had wrapped it with duct tape so that the TV does not pop out of it. The delivery guy takes it to my room, and he does not set it up, saying he was not never told to do so, and on top of that he asks me for TIP .... i got so mad at him ... and said sorry no tip, and then he decided to install it for me.
Overall a good buy but so much of headache in getting the TV till my home and setting it up ... i wish Amazon reads this and talk with Pilot guys or my recommendation to Amazon, that if you charge someone $1500 for a TV, please please please please please at least make sure that the customer is getting the package in the proper form and he gets a good service, i would definitely think twice about buying anything from Amazon... what a pain .....

I had been waiting and debating for over a year. I knew it would be a Samsung. all the reviews pointed to it, Brother and friends also had purchased Samsungs with no problems. Ordered and shipped from Amazon.com. Delivery driver removed it from the box and powered it up to make sure it worked. Setup was easy. picture is fantastic! I just can't get the autoclock to work properly. other than that Wonderful set!
